Let's Get More Familiar with American Culture(!)

Prom: In the United States, a prom, short for promenade, is used to describe a formal dance held at the end of the high school academic year.
Parade: A parade is an organized procession of people along a street, often in costume, and often accompanied by floats or sometimes large lighter-than-air balloons with complex shapes. Parades are held for a wide range of reasons, but are usually celebrations of some kind.
Halloween: Or Hallowe'en is a tradition celebrated on the night of October 31, most notably by children dressing in costumes and going door-to-door collecting sweets, fruit, and other gifts. This is called trick-or-treating, and apart from this there are many other traditional Halloween activities.
